Public Art
Public Art Projects
As an emerging muralist and professional arts administrator, I am using my artistic talent and professional experience to create, manage and facilitate exciting public art projects across different cultures.
Tauba Auerbach: Flow Separation
As operations project manager at Public Art Fund (PAF), I supervised the weekly operations of Tauba Auerbach: Flow Separation project in the summer of 2018. Commissioned by New York-based artist Tauba Auerbach, the project transformed the historic Fireboat John J. Harvey into a contemporary "dazzle ship."
Greater Boston Murals
My journey with mural making started on the back of a warehouse by the train track just outside of Boston, MA in 2014. The experience has forever changed and re-shaped my views on the meaning of art creation and its connection to the local communities.
Junzi Kitchen
Armed with a calligraphy brush and spray paint, I brought an intricate story to life on the storefront of Junzi Kitchen in New Haven, CT. The mural is a medley of symbols and stories surrounding Junzi Kitchen - an old map of New Haven from 1879, a billowing hot pot on a dinning table, and a nod to popular street art styles.
“Rise” Sri Lanka
In 2014, I co-founded a mural collective called “Bumbing Happens“ that later traveled to Sri Lanka for a series of mural projects. The mural team collaborated with local children to create murals that aimed to inspire them to express themselves freely through visual arts.
India Auto Rickshaw Public Art Project
Invited by the Travel Channel (Hainan), I co-presented a 9 episodes TV series on my 1,800 miles auto rickshaw adventure across India to more than 20 million viewers in Asia. I created and implemented interactive public art and educational projects such as “Free Ride across India” and “Backseat Interviews.”
From Mural Making to Arts Management
My exploration of the medium continued as I became equally passionate about the ideas and best practices behind mural making in urban communities. In 2017, I was admitted to the arts administration master’s program at Columbia University to further my study in this field.
